Advice

Hi I need some advice, my mom doesn't trust me to go outside to the park, store etc by myself. How can I get my mom to trust me? Maybe if we move to our own purlieu she'll trust me enough to let me be free and roam. I know my mom doesn't want me to get hurt out there but I'm going to be 11 in a couple of months and she needs to trust me and let me roam out of the nest.
Any advice would be helpful!!!

With all your trust,
Chloe

It's hard for a mom to let a daughter go out on her own. For my 11 year old, he had to prove that he knew where he was going and how to cross the streets safely. First, let your mom follow you to places you plan to go on your own (grocery store, library, etc.), so that she can see if you know how to go and how to be alert to your surroundings. Once she's comfortable with that, then maybe you can ask again.
I hope that helps.
